Što je to endokrinologija?
Endokrinologija je područje medicine koja se bavi funkcijom endokrinih žlijezda (žlijezda s unutarnjim lučenjem) i njihovih hormona u organizmu. (hipotalamus, hipofiza štitnjača, paraštitna žlijezda, nadbubrežne žlijezde, gušterača, spolne žlijezde i druge). Značajna je grana interne medicine jer su neke endokrilne bolesti vrlo rasprostranjene (gušavost, smanjena ili povećana funkcija štitnjače, šećerna bolest itd).
